Signaller Dave Wall (42) always wanted to join the military, but the timing wasn’t right for him after college. Now settled in his civilian life, he felt it was the right time for a new challenge and to join the Royal Signals Reserve.
Having no previous military experience, he really enjoyed both the initial military and the trade training he has received. In the short time he has been in the Army Reserve he has attained Industry Standard Cyber Training and has really enjoyed the physical aspect of training including taking part in the ‘100 for 100’ Corps Centenary fund-raising challenge and more recently Race the Sun, another team endurance competition, in short, he loves it.
In civilian life, Dave is a farmer, which although with its own unique challenges, does allow him the flexibility to mix both careers. He is lucky to have the full support of his family and they are extremely proud of what he is doing.
